An avid reader of books, Christen picked up a discarded romance novel at the age of twelve while on vacation.  The cover had a woman in a yellow dress and the story was based, rather uncommonly, on Lake Erie during the Industrial Era.  Though her tastes since have grown to prefer the settings of Regency England and Medieval Scotland, Christen's love for romance novels has never dimmed.
